Anyone ever build grousers with angle iron? Would there be huge draw backs? Are the factory one hardened in some fashion? Though I might be able to put the iron worker to use.

The factory ones of steel almost always are heat treated minumum steel of 4130 and heat treated and drawn back to RC38 heat treat cost are through the roof the last ones we did just the heat treat was 15.00 per grouser. I about went through the roof 4130 is not cheap either.

what does work and has worked in the past for some of the Thiokols is Square
tubing the 600 series used it, The early 201 Models used it, 1404 used it in there summer cleat. not the best for traction without the addition of a paddle but it does work
