Grease Guns

Last time I greased the tractor I started having a problem with my grease gun, no problem, I just switched to the old lever one and went about mowing the grass. Well last night it was time to do an oil change to the truck, having forgot about the grease gun not working I grabbed it to use, because the truck is why I originally bought it as there are a couple of fittings where you need 4 hands when using the pump one.:pat:

Any way, this is a pneumatic one from Sears. It is their "Professional" :toilet: model. I've only had it probably 2 1/2 years. It fires and I can hear it hitting, but no grease comes out. I swapped the end from the lever one. Nothing. I took the entire hose off and found the little spring and ball to make sure nothing was there. Now I figure I'm down to tearing the whole thing apart to look for anything broken/out place/stuck.

Anyone have any suggestions to try before I tear it apart? What about tips once I'm up to my elbows? Hate to through the damn thing away no older then it is, not like it was cheap. Almost 100 bucks for a grease gun, should last longer then that. :(

If is a Craftsman, take it back and they will probably exchange it. Tell them you lost the slip and bought it 6 months ago..... Junk

That is a thought. I'll clean it up and try it. The worst thing they can say is, no. So much for it being "Professional.":puke1: Heck the only thing I use it on is my truck and tractor - though it does seem like I go through a lot of grease on the tractor.:smileywac
