Glad we didn't go today as Obummer made an unplanned stop today, fallowing Ryan around like a puppy dog...

The presidentail motrocade passed the farm this afternoon, So many patrol cars you couldn't count them...I tried too...They stopped all West bound traffic, and I am sure pissed off lots of folks...Like he undoubtedly did in Des Moines, by going to the state fair unanounced or planned...at super time no less. I hope he pissed off lots of folks..:whistling::glare::yum::yum::yum:

Back on topic, I am taking a group of 6 to the Fair in the morning. IF you've never been, you should, as it will forever change your perceptions of state fairs. It's the biggest and nicest of any I have been to. I guess we're rather proud of it, here in this state any how..:biggrin:

Last year the place was full of GOP cndidates. Was very interesting

I love the IOWA state fair. Have attended often over the years. This year we will sadly have to pass on it.
Closest thing to it would be the Wisconsin version which we used to visti when we lived in Chicago.
