One day a large, handsome, but bright yellow toad came to see Glinda the Good Witch:
"Oh Great and Good Glinda, I am sore unhappy. All the other toads are a normal, pretty toad green and they won't accept
me because I'm yellow! Can you help?"
"I think your yellow is beautiful and hate that the other toads don't like you just because of the color of your skin! But, I
always help those coming to me with troubles so let me touch you with my wand."
As soon as Glinda's wand touched to toad he turned a bright and truly beautiful toad green. The toad rejoiced, until he
looked between his legs and saw it was ... still yellow!
"Glinda, you missed a rather important part of my anatomy!"
"Gracious, I'm a Good Witch; I can't deal with your 'naughty parts'! You'll have to see the Wizard if you want that part
changed as well. Do you know the way to Emerald City?"
The toad told her he did, and began to hop over to see the Wonder Wizard. No sooner had to left that a rather large,
pink elephant came seeking assistance. He too wanted to have his very unelephant pink changed to a normal elephant
gray. Again Glinda did her magic with her wand and the elephant's color was transformed ... with the same rather
obvious exception.
"Glinda, I can't go back to the herd with a pink 'thing'. That's even worse than being pink all over!"
Glinda again explained about the "naughty bits" limitation on her powers, and again directed the dejected elephant to the
Wizard. But this time, her supplicant didn't know the way to Emerald City. Glancing down the path she saw that her
first color-change job was still in sight, so she turned to the elephant and said:
"Just follow the yellow prick toad!"
