Oh my. These radio jocks had a ball poking at this gal while the guy is trying to break up with her ...she was expecting a proposal.

Wrong on so many levels. She was wrong but the way this came down was way wrong. What do you think? Is this kind of crap classified and okay as entertainment?

I personally think it was sad. If I owned the radio station Woody and Rizzuto would be done. Yeah the girl shouldn't have been messing around but should have been discussed privately not on a radio station. Just my opinion that is all. Hell if done privately maybe things could have been worked out but there isn't a snowball in hell chance of that now is there.

+1
I hate DJ's who think public ambush humiliation is valid entertainment.
Oneof the radio stations near me does this thing every wednesday morning called "War of the Roses" where they call some poor schmuck and tell him he's won a dozen free roses delivered anywhere.
The wife/GF is listening in to see if he sends them to her or some other woman -- then is allowed to confront him on air.

I won't even listen to it. If it's anything like these two idiots on a morning show around here.
Bob and Tom are extreme at times, and I think that's what's become of some of these radio chat shows, they're all Bob and Tom wannabes(or something similar).

I will always remember a radio duo that called themselves PMS (Phil and Mark Show) on KFYR radio in Bismarck North Dakota. They NEVER did anything remotely close to this class(less) act.
They did select a person each day, who had a birthday, and put them on the air. The person(s) who'd sent the birthday into the station was invited to include bits of "dirt" on the intended that were mostly silly goofs of days gone by. The "Victims" usually had almost as much fun as the hosts and it all ended with the "victim" winning a birthday treat from a sponsoring business.

They also did an April Fool thing each year which was fun for all. THOSE two guys had about the highest ratings in the region.

Bob and Tom? I don't care for them either, Sorry PG, I don't particularly care for their show.

This "thing" that was just shared with us makes me wanna puke all over the place. I didn't listen to the whole thing either. Sheesh! :glare:

Awww that is probably due to the fact that KFYR is about the only radio station in North Dakota. :poke: When out there at the inlaws that is all there is to listen to. :hide:

The girl made a terrible mistake that shows she has no class, but when the guy agreed to publicly break up with her, he proved he has even less class than she does. In my opinion, you never, ever publicly humiliate anyone, or kick them when they are down.

I suspect he will live to regret this in the future as one of these days he will realize how badly he behaved.

Bob

Not the only station, but a very popular one. It's rivaled by KFGO in Fargo, which is a news talk all local station. Good stuff on there. Something like WCCO in Minneapolis.

They have radio in N. Dakota???? :poke: :yum: :yum:

Yup! Had it since 1996! Before that, we just sang to ourselves out on the ol' John Deere.

HAM radio.
Just a buncha hams sitting around the ol' general store listening to it until the batteries died.

Holy Shit Doc, they even have a few telephone poles now. :yum:
Zat wut them is? I thunk some sum'itch planted some kind of screwball tree in a row by the roadside. Damned near'd cut one down to burn in the pot belly stove!
I bet the reception is all scratchy and stuff..:hide:
Just teasing Monte!:)
No, but, I do have this itch down.........never mind.

Actually the reception is pretty good. The land is flatter than an A cup and nothing gets in it's way. :hide: :poke:
Yeah, you'd know because that's all you ever got to felt up on your dates behind the strawpile!

I found it in bad taste. But as i was listening - I had to wonder if it was staged.

I think it was staged. I heard the same script (minor variations) on the Kim Peterson show about ten years ago in Atlanta. He also had one where a woman wanted to tell her husband how much she loved him and wanted to tell him she was pregnant with their first child. He exploded, demanding to know how she could be so stupid as to concieve at that point in their lives, ect, ect, ect. Frankly, before I realized it was a spoof, I thought it horrible.

The only radio stuff I listen to concerning relationships is Delilah's show over the airwaves. She plays nice songs for listeners and talks to them about their lives. Mind you, sometimes it gets a bit syrupy, then I have to switch channels.

Peterson was never a relationship show, he was pure humor. Then Clear Channel bought the station and fired him for a lack of racial sensitivity. They failed to check with the marketing department or they'd have known 75% of his audience was Black and he hadn't had a listener complaint in years. He's retired now, spends his days on the golf course looking for the real killer of Nichol and Ron. OJ doesn't play here often.
