Gone But Not Forgotten
I had to drive 3 hours one way to the nearest SSI office because they admitted they screwed up and changed my birth date by accident. They admitted it but insisted I had to come in and bring my Birth cert and my passport !!!
I told them that was a crock and the gal agreed but said tough shit .
So I show up and there are 5 people in the room . Some person says i have to go get a number because they call in order . They are calling #54 at the time ..... mine says #10896 !!!! . A couple hours later I get called and the gal tells me she can't fix it there and they will send everything back east !!!!
I'll get a phone call so don't go everywhere ..but she has no idea when they will call .


Is This America or WHAT ????? They screw up and I pay the price !!

The next guy that tells me what a fuck up the goverment is in Panama compared to America is going to get a chewin out from one pissed off SOB!!

Gee Allen i read the title and thaught you got waffles and bacon. glad to know i'm not the only one with this problem. mine however goes 1 step farther $500.00 plane ticket to anchorage with my documents, now i wasn't born in the US. i popped out in japan on a now closed down airbase so i have what's called a report of birth abrod its an embessy document with no raised colord seal on it.the government agency social security won't honor it and the state department wants me to pay a 150.00 fee to issue the new form. my thaughts are if uncle sam won't accept the paper work they issued at birth than they owe me a new one free of charge.

It might be easyer to find out where our camander and chief got his birt cirtificate and get one from the same guy might have been cheeper too.
 
Geez Al, all you have to do is die a couple of times and they don't put you through all that hassle.......:whistling:
 
hell i don't care about the bennifits i will never collect on but i can't renew my drivers license with out the right birth date on my drivers license.
