Mrs. Zoom and I have been working on finishing her garage. For the past several years, it had un-finished drywall on the walls and insulation only on the ceiling.
Well, we're getting it done (I'll snap and post some pics later today) but Mrs. Zoom wanted something relatively fancy for the floor.
We looked at epoxy but there's a lot of work involved, can't park on it for a week, may flake off... so we decided not to go that route.
So, we picked up some Racedeck Circletrac tile yesterday. We're going to make it a black & white checkerboard pattern.
This tile is made so it's kind of a raised surface and water can flow between the cracks down to the existing floor and off to the drain. Since the existing concrete is unfinished, I'm thinking of putting a coat of enamel paint on the floor before covering with the tile. My thoughts are that it'll keep the water from soaking into the concrete and since now covered with tile, never really drying. Thoughts?
Anyone else install these or similar tiles? Any advise?
