Nice clean machine.
One very special point to note here is that this is one of the rare hybrid machines that has had the power divider removed and replaced with the more reliable, more maintainable, and 'parts available' Bombardier differntial unit for steering.
My point is that this has the benefits of 601-type differential (Bombardier diff instead of OC-15 diff but same functionality), and also does not have the 'con' of the 601 axle breakage that occurs...because the 4T is axle-less. So, while in Alaska some of the folks will convert their standard 601 axle machines to 'walking beam' type machines to add clearance, avoid axle breakage, etc... the 4T10 has that advantage...not that it's walking-arm but still close. Suspension parts are always an issue for either machine but more complex on the 4T.
Another machine like this is the one crafttree bought that was the 4T10 converted with an OC-15. His has the 601 style grousers while this one has the original 4T10 style. This one has the Bombardier diff with Bombardier sprockets...both of which are readily available parts so that's another plus.
As many of you know, one of our most prominent forum members (now only makes intermittent cameo appearanches now and then) has a 4T10 that he is coverting to OC-12 to give similar performance as this 4T10 with Bombardier Diff.
Nice machine. There is a 4T10 on ksl.com that has had a lot of work done...he wants $12K to compare. But the toaster has the Bombardier differntial ... hands down a better machine, no doubt. If it doesn't sell (would surprise me a bit but who knows) because it's end of season, you should hang onto it for next season as it's worth the money and you'll easily get it next season.
