I think a poll should be added to this thread.

When will Muleman actually get his garden in?
May - and it'll make it.
May - and the frost will kill it.
June - and it'll make it.
June - and the rain will wash it away.
July - and it'll make it.
July - and the heat will burn it up.
August - and it'll make it.
August - and the frost will get it.
...

Sorry to hear it Bill.

Get the Snowcats fired up and headed up toward the NY border . . . looks like conditions are right for a little summer fun!

Funny guys! Who is volunteering to spread sheets and plastic over things tonight???? This is the crazy year from hell for gardening. Have not seen it this bad since the kids were little. We busted ass and had a great garden started. Went away for Memorial day weekend to the shore. Got sunburned and returned home to find that a hard frost had killed almost every bought plant that was in the garden along with a ton of flowers. At least the wind is supposed to slack off tonight hence the frost warning. We are at 51 right with a wind chill of 44. NUTS to even think of wind chill in June! I came back in for the jacket I just put away last week.:hammer:

Been out mowing with a jacket on in June! 2 days ago it was 90 and so muggy I was running the a/c. At least with the wind it is drying out the grass so I can cut it at the highest setting on the deck. Still have some water to deal with out beyond the greenhouses. The hayfield is so tall the deer almost disappear in it. You can only see their backs and head when they are out there. Hope it stays dry and heats back up. Will make a great first cutting at the rate it is growing if it gets sunny and hot to dry it.
