Friday Nights

It's another friday night at the Bonehead household and I am planning on doing what I normally do on a friday night at home: Get the kids into bed, BS with you guys for a while, watch a little T.V., and go to sleep. On nights like tonight I will try to get to sleep around 10 PM or so as I have to work tomorrow and thus get up at 05:30.

What do you all to on a typical friday night?

We are all just kind of sitting around chatting. Just got a call from one of my customers and i may have to go out and do some service work. I actually wanted to get to bed early, but that is not going to happen.

me, nothing exciting. Tonight we took my mom out for a birthday dinner, but normally on Friday I'm catching up on the Forum posts I missed during the day. ...i know, yawn. zzz zzzz zzzzz

Pretty much the same as you! I just try to go to bed at 9PM as I get up at 4:15 for my workday tomorrow. Maybe a little less B.S. though - I've got to go make the bed (it was laundry day today).:(
 
Tonight is home night in front of the TV, with the lovely Mrs_B's homemade veggie pizza (portobello mushrooms, garlic, sauted onions, sundried tomatoes, olive oil, & asiago cheese). Clam strip appetizers. Kahula, coffee & whip cream while relaxing afterwards.
 
Just another fun night of bowling. Luckily (for me) this was the last night for this league.

Talk about a weird coincidence, right after posting this thread our power went out. I then heard a call come in (over my dept portable radio) that some wires were on fire just north of my house (not an unusual call for this time of year). Using my logic, I figured that the power would be restored within two hours. It didn't come on until after 3 AM! The kids had fun with their flashlights and taking a bath by flashlight, but no alarm clock means no workout for Bonehead, and I'm off to work in less than an hour.
That's what happens when you brag about how mellow your friday night is going to be.

Leave it to Bob to make even vegi pizza sound GOOD!!! :)

I've never tried clam strips. Are they fried?

The lovely Mrs_B breaded and baked them. But usually they are found fried. Howard Johnson's used to serve up big platters of them at their motor lodge restaruants (are there any Howard Johnson's around any more?) as a meal. They don't seem to be a common menu item anymore.

Bonehead. . . I worry about you.

Not positive but I think there is stilll a HJ on the WV turnpike at one of the rest areas. Close to Beckly or Bluefield.
 
Hey Bone,

Do you still have the Skippers Restaurants out in your area. Man they came to Minnesota about 15 years ago and only lasted about 5 years. All closed up. I use to just love going to them. Was out in Portland 8 years ago and main goal was to stop at a Skippers and we did. Wished they were still around.

One thing I never got used to, veggy and pizza. Just does not sound right together. Dont mind a few ON the pizza, but not made entirely of it.

I also very seldom use any sauce on my steak. If it does not taste right, it goes back
