I've never taken any of the freebies from Bosch or others that offer "free" stuff.

My thoughts have been that nothing is free and they're going to get you somehow.

For all that have taken the free stuff from DeWalt, Bosch... is everything OK or are you getting buried with magazines, junk mail, spam...?

I've signed up for free sawzall blades from Bosch and DeWalt and utility knife blades from Irwin. I didn't check the box to receive emails and I've not heard from them other than to receive the items.

Thanks for the info Jim,

I get a couple magazines/fliers a day now from places I've gotten stuff from in the past. Honestly, they go right in the trash but I would prefer not getting them at all.

I've gotte most of these freebies and don't think they have increased my junk mail. Of course, I get so much junkmail that I don't know if it can get any worse.

I sent for the Bosch blades and received them. I also sent for the Irwin utility blades - haven't gotten them yet. Didn't seem like it increased my spam/snail mail junk any.

All my spam seeks to REDUCE something, ENLARGE something, CREATE something out of nothing, promises of love, laughter, and riches, hot stock deals - OH, and I get frequent ads about a jackrabbit(?) vibrator - whatever the hell that is.
But almost no extraneous spam related to the shit I'm interested in - tools, equipment, etc.

It took them a while but I'm not complaining since it was free.

A 1" ships auger bit arrived in the mail yesterday.

I got my sawzall blades a few weeks ago. The Bosch Auger bit came on Monday. I opened the mailbox, saw something addressed to me for a change and mumbled....."What the hell did I order now that I forgot I ordered?" I opened the envelope to find another envelope which contained a 1" Bosch (Made in China) auger bit about 6-8" long. I forgot I even did the thing on the net. But hey, I'll use it.
