I hated his policies and I remember when he told us to “learn to live with less” during the energy crises. Such an anti-American idea. In many ways he set up the Reagan revolution, so his abject failures in governance did lead to many good things.

Carter, while a good person, is also the opposite of Biden. Both liberals in policies but Carter was not evil, he was just a rube. Biden is, objectively a mean and evil man who is also a serial liar. Carter was never a bad person, never seemed to hold malice or ill intent.

I would agree. I liked Carter.

My wife still ribs me for voting for him
 
I remember the "energy crisis" and all that.
My parents were both Dems and there was a lot of talk around the kitchen table, especially when Dad was home on leave.
My first time voting when I was able was Reagan, ...of course ❤️

Disastrous foreign policy
Weak economy
Both talked down to voters
Both are 1 term and very unpopular

Yup, you are correct, lots of parallels. Safe to say, now that Carter has died, that Biden is clearly the worst 'living' President.
