Mythbusters did a study on tooth brushes proximity to the toilet and the amount of bacteria each collected over a period of time. They put one toothbrush within a couple feet of the toilet, one over 6ft away and one 4 ft away but in the medicine cabinet. At the end of the study the toothbrush closest to the toilet did not have any more bacteria than the other two. Even the one inside the medicine cabinet had close to the same amount of residue as the toothbrush that was closest. So, there is not escape.

But remember, the toilet seat is probably cleaner than your keyboard.

They also did a paper fold in an Aircraft Hanger, with about a fifty by eighty foot piece of paper, folded it more than seven times... but that was kind of unrealistic for most of us. Rice paper is so thin, it may be able to be folded more than normal paper's seven times.
