Biden signs with talent agency Creative Artists Agency in first post-presidency move

Former President Joe Biden on Monday revealed that he will be represented by the talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which previously represented him from 2017-2020, between his vice presidency and presidency.
The company, which represented Biden when he wrote the book “Promise Me, Dad,” also represents former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama's media company Higher Ground, according to the New York Post.
Biden and the company did not detail what their partnership would entail, including whether the former president plans to have another book published.
“President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett said in a statement. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.”
Former top government officials often go on the public speaking circuit following their tenures in federal service, and Biden brought in nearly $1 million after he left office as vice president, by speaking at colleges and universities.
Biden made $190,000 by speaking at Drew University in New Jersey, he was also paid $180,000 to appear at Vanderbilt University, $180,000 to speak at the University of Buffalo, $125,000 to visit Southern Connecticut State University, $100,000 to speak at Long Island University, and $93,000 to grace Brown University, the outlet reported.
Biden also made nearly $1 million in 2017 as the University of Pennsylvania’s “Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor."
The former president was paid $400,000 a year while in the Oval Office.
