Flexators

Thinice

New member
Greetings all, We have a 89' Skidozer 252DT. Now that the new tracks are all done I was looking at the flexators and found the 2 rear ones on both sides appear to be worn. That is, they tilt to the inside at the top of the wheel. No nothing is bent, the rubber is just worn from years of use in the current config. Seeing that we do not have extras are thesen flexators rebuildable?
Would swapping the flexators left to right and right to left for now be a good solution?
Anybody have some flexators they are willing to part with??
Thx,

Thinice

To my knowledge, they are not rebuildable. However, Minn. Outdoors and Prinoth can probably both supply them. There are also Left and Right versions, and the splines are lined up different side to side.

I can't help with your question about swapping them side to side, although they might work for a temp fix.

the Front flexators are different than the rest if I remember right.

The others are interchangeable. On ours the fronts were the issue, toeing out under track tension. Not sure why the tops of the rear ones on yours are tipping in at the top...

Not sure, but I don't think you can swap side to side, as there are lefts and right hand versions of the flexators. Boggie is the guy to ask. Maybe he will chime in on this one...

Actually you can swap them side for side. But you will not be able to rebuild them. We have looked at rebuilding them before with polyurethane but at this time we are not.Sometimes the arms that mount to the flexitor splines get loose and then they start to wear. The front ones are bigger and the most expensive

Another trick that sometimes gets a little more life out of them is if they did come loose and the splines have some wear. You can take and cut the slot area
Allowing the pinch bolt to pull it tighter and it may help. Most offen most people end up welding the arms to the splined area after the strip out but that works once.

We do have them in stock flexitors separate from the arms we have just the arms or the arms with a new spindle they come from England

How much and where can I get front flexators for my 1986 252 skidozer in Alaska..and do you know the numbers for the boggie inside bearing seals...and the solid front wheels .. ryakbrn@aol.com

You might try Alaska Machine and Equipment on 74th just east of Old Seward Hwy. They may possibly be able to help. Other than that I would contact boggie.
