Films remembered

I've seen hundreds of films over the past thirty years. Many of them I remember well and have seen them again since. I found something new to enjoy in them every time.

One of John Wayne's I particularly liked was one in which his character meets two women in the course of the film, one rural and one from a city. He ends up with the rural one in the end.

I can't remember the film's name. Can someone here please remind me what it is?
 
I thought that I'd seen them all but I can't help you with this one. I'll think about it as I sleep. Maybe I'll have an answer tomorrow morning.

In searching the only one i see that it could be was " Wake of the red witch " ?
