This is an old friend that I recruited to join FF, that unfortunately had not visited the forums for many months now. I knew that she was having health problems, and I was hoping that they wouldn't be long term problems and that she would return to posting. Unfortunately, Carolyn has taken a turn for the worse, and the outlook doesn't look very bright. Both she and her husband have for many years been disabled. As a result, they both live on fixed Social Security income from their working years. She is hospitalized many miles from home, increasing the need for funds as Jamus, her husband, must travel to be by her side. Please keep Carolyn in your thoughts and prayers, and if you would like to help out, a donation site has been created in her name. Another member here, Caddy Daddy, has been in touch with Jamus, and will be giving me updates on her condition. He or I will post updates as we get them. Thanks guys........ Junkman

I got this message last evening from Jamus on the website where we developed our original friendship (www.professionalcar.org), and things are starting to look up. She isn't out of the woods quite yet, but she is recovering. Thanks to all for your prayers and kindness.... Junk...
hello all and first may i say thank you to you all for you prayers and well wishes. Carolyn and I think of you all as extended family ..and now to the good news they had to take Carolyn off and stop the chemo so the could get her other health problems under control.. she's still in ICU but the Doc said her white blood count dropped from 145K to 15k this morning{norm is between 4k and 10 k} and she's speaking again but she is running a low grade temp and has some sort of infection that he's not real happy about. she feels like she's been dragged back wards thru the knothole and feels pretty crummy... as things happen I'll give updates and it looks like she'll be in ICU for at least one more week then to the regular floor... please keep us in your prayers and once again thank you for all your support God bless you all... It has been an up and down battle for the last week or so. I got this message tonight from a friend.
Had a message from Jamus again today. Carolyn's kidneys have completely shut down. The doctor told Jamus that she probably WONT survive past this weekend. I have not been able to get a hold of Jamus tonight. I will keep trying

Hopefully our prayers will help her to pull through, but it doesn't look good. I will keep everyone apprised as I get updates. Thanks guys...

I regret to inform the FF family that Carolyn passed away tonight at 5:59 pm in Phoenix, Arizona. Jamus wishes to thank all of us for the kind thoughts and prayers. Carolyn slipped into a coma yesterday and died peacefully tonight. May she rest in peace!
 
Paul, that's truly very tragic news . I was hoping for a better outcome than this .My heart goes out to Her loved ones .
 
God had a greater need for her. Condolences to Jamus and the family. I'm sure she will be missed.
 
Sorry to hear that Junk. My condolences to you, Jamus and others in the family. I enjoyed her posts on here when she was active. Very sad, but at least she passed peacefully.

Im really sorry to hear that. :( i didnt see this thread until now. Very sad Junk. :(
 
Sorry to hear about this. I too was hoping for a better outcome. She is with god now, and I am sure he has good things planned for her.
