Title says it all.

Its one of mom's last 2 surviving brothers, the only one I am close to (the other lives in Florida and I've not seen him in 30 years). Heck of a great guy, still lives in the same house he built 50 years ago with his wife. Saw him recently at a reunion, he was doing great, joking around, acting like a kid. Uncle Ed was always good for a joke, funny story and a smile.

Doctors are not optimistic that he can pull through. Recovery is not in the cards.

Sorry to hear about your favorite uncle Bob. :(

A long time friend of my family and a fellow boat club member died suddenly. He went in the hospital for surgery to take care of a pinched nerve in his neck. Had the surgery and was leaving the hospital on Dec. 29th, he complained of chest pains and had a heart attack. Apparently it was massive. He was only 62. He died on Jan 1st.

I'll be thinking of you and your family today. My grandfather had a massive stroke years ago. He pulled through though and was able to regain allot of mobility. Hope everything works out Bob.

Sorry to hear that Bob. Please keep us informed and updated . Prayers are already on the way .

No new news from my cousins about my uncle.

But thanks for all the good thoughts, I do appreciate it.

Well my uncle passed away a little while ago. I was fortunate enough that I got to the hospital to visit him for a while this afternoon.

I cringed to re-open this thread for fear that you may post what you in fact did. I'm so sorry to hear that. My sincere condolences to you, his family and friends.
