FASTEST SNOWCAT?

I believe it was around 80 MPH.

That was when it was on a trailer but needed bungie cords and duct tape to hold it together... :)
 
BOMBARDIER B12 units will do about 40kph on a flat frozen lake.

Jessee James built a unit on the TV MONSTER GARAGE that spewed flames out of the exhaust pipes, not sure what the top speed was, but I'd guess that might have hit 40mph? It was a T-Bucket roadster with skis on the front end and what looked like Thiokol tracks on the back. Didn't seem to turn worth a darn.

There is a thread about it somewhere here on the forums. Do a search for Jesse James Monster Garage and I'm sure it will show up.

I remember that episode. If I recall, it was one of those new mini cooper cars and had two polaris 800 twins to power the polaris snowmobile tracks and suspensions on the back that raised and lowered on command. It also had homemade skis much like ones on a B12.
