i wished we could send all these stinking tree huggers back to where their familys came from. bering sea gold came up last week to film ice dredging this has gone on for years now all of a sudden it's been shut down, the state won't issue any permits for dredgers on the ice on account of the fact they may disturbe the f'n polar bears . aperently our ice now could be considered polar bear habitat,to prove how stupid this is the last time a polar bear came around was 3 years ago and about every native hunter in town took off after it it didn't last 24 hours after it's tracks were spotted. no body want's them things around town any ways so why not let the guys dredge in front of town.

The tree huggers are in the minority. I don't understand how in the hell they got so much power.

Sigh, no love for the polar bear. What the frog is Coke supposed to do if you get rid of all the Polar Bears?

You silly goose. They don't shoot the ones that can play football or hockey.

the stupid part is you almoste never see one, around here this ia as stupid as trying to shut down a rock quarry be cause the newly created cliffs could be good habitat for birds like falcons

Don't say that too loud or some greenie will think that is how it is. Then you won't have any rock either!:whistling: Isn't there enough ice around that the bears can go somewhere besides around town? Maybe they vote DemocRAT!:yum::yum::yum:

Just wait until this summer, when, because of them, coal plants are shut down, and the Midwest will experience a rash of rolling brown and black outs. Can't wait to see how uh-o-Obama spins it.

it will be bush's fault for not putting in alternative sources sooner

So how do out of town tree huggers come and tell you folks what you can, and cann't do? What agency is involved? Can it be that some one just needs to challenge their "ideas" about YOUR ICE...??

Got a Sherriff? He can tell them to buzz off, if he has the nuts to do so. He is the law in your county and it takes a court order to over turn him.

I sure as hell wouldn't take this type of thing laying down. I'd be chasing all avenues down to overturn those damn do gooders, who haven't got a clue.

If it looks rediculous, sounds rediculous, then it is pretty much ....rediculous, and should be done aay with. Good luck.

Regards, Kirk

Easy there Don. Don't you know this is just some more of the "change" being brought to you by Mr. Hope and Change's gestapo at the EPA and other agencies under his control. It's obvious they know more about what goes on in Alaska than Alaskans do, otherwise they wouldn't make rules that adversely affect them. Just take a chill pill and go along with them. After all, they know what's best for you and those non-existent polar bears.:brows:

Kirk it was the local fish and feathers office that shut them down the whole office is staffed with a bunch of pita extreamist's. they have no common sence my understanding is that they were told to revoke permits issued and not give out any others, polar bears were the only to do this my guess is it's the fishing comunity that is leding this stupidity and backed by the anti mining enviromentalist just like down in bristol bay, some one gets an idea than goes looking for money to back their cause i have a great idea instead of preventing develipment if alaska lets spend this money reclaiming say new york LA that will fix those idiots when they loose their apartments and office buildings
