The person that built it had in mind having a tilting platform in he back for hauling firewood, being narrow it would fit through the woods easy not much longer than the Muskeg. having better floatation with more track area you must say it is almost one of a kind one other was built some years ago to use for a fire fighting unit with a tank on the back.

i found bombadiare some years back i remeber the cab being kind of rounded like that but it had a 3 cyl detroit in it and the engine sat between the driver and passenger it was 5 years or better i dont remember a double set of road wheels but when i saw it i thaught about a meskeg might take a trip out of town and take a look at it if it clears up kind of want to track down ownership the 2 stroke detroit would be a work horse and also they start easy in the winter.

I see the shop is done but what is that on the left side of the second picture just out of frame??? Another Minnesota Outdoors original ??? do post a picture

It seems like it would be extraordinarily tippy.

The CG is pretty low, but it could be a issue if you were in the steep hills. most swamps and areas around here are pretty flat we will let you know. with the engine in the middle the front and back being also equal everything is atleast pretty balanced, you have give the guy credit for thinking outside the box.

i ave seen some pics of that unit i would be concerned about stability in soft deep snow or on inclines havig a lot of stick time in the 206's but the pics show a nice roomy cabin with good visibility a good rig for specilized turist work or s&r transport

There is B & W Film Footage of one of these operating in the Bombardier Documentary that ran on Discovery. The show was "Invention, With Lucky Severson". There is no mention of this model in the Bombardier books, and there isn't one in the Bombardier Museum in Valcort Qe. With that long of tracks it was very likely hard to turn.
