Hello all,

I have access to a late 60's 1202

it is only frame, wheels (no rubber) axles, door frames, no body, engine needs rebuild, no transmission, pictured is the rear diff....

I would appreciate some idea of what this is worth/ what to pay for it....

I am aware of the size of the project...

I can confirm the diff worked last time before the machine was stripped down.

Basically some idea of what you think this is worth for me to pay for it.
Email / pm me some thoughts.

Thanks much!

Summer project!!! in Which i will need lots of advise, sourcing, and ...money!

Cheers
A

The word on it was to be a restoration project at one point, not clear on where the rest of the cat ended up. Of course i am hoping the best on water issues, but expecting worst.
Thoughts?

please don't let me rain on your parade.

I am not sure of the regional ability to source a different machine. that should factor in. ( if shipping is a huge amount)

What I see is a core OC-4 rear end. $1000 to me.

Tracks. dismiss the belts grousers and guides. 500 maybe

frame. with dif has value but wow I am not sure what. there is some value

I was looking for a oc-4 diff for a spare for an imp and found a retired ski hill cat sitting waiting for me.

I was a pretty eager buyer but now that i am learning and playing the shopping is part of the fun.

this machine found me.

I ended up paying 450 canuck funny money dollars($500 after a few other add ons and use of trailer and loader) for the lot.

Good or bad deal, its done now. I have a lot of work ahead of me....and money to spend now.

I thinki you did great, I would doubt you could buy a rear diff assembly for a core for that price.

That would be a blank canvas type project! The good news is you get to build it your way, the bad news is you have a LOT of work ahead of you... but if the frame and diff are sound you have a great start. Any chance of tracking down the previous owner or the parts they removed? I would invest a bit of time into that on the chance they are still out there.
I look forward to seeing your progress.

I just bought a set of used guides for my tracks, I spent 3 grand. the belts and guides look pretty good form the pics the oc 4 kind of gets a bad rap for 450, who's complaining once you overcome engine the power train lets talk about your road wheels those Thiokol wheels are a POS. your best bet is to replace the front wheels with perma groomer wheels for a br 400 and Ditch the Winnie 1/2 inch studs for 9/16 grade 8 nuts and bolts later I will post about my past 2 days of filming with the discovery channel.
