Enter,"The Oz"

The Crazy Scot, #3
Since "dz" found a home for Balto, and we had room for another dog, I picked up Oz. He's a cross between a Border Collie, and a Blue Heeler. 8 weeks old. We were at Gibraltor Trade Center in beautiful downtown Taylor. I walked past this little guy 3 times before I couldn't stand it any longer.
So now "Oz" is part of the family. We'd been talking for awhile about getting another Border Collie for Spike to play with, and they hit it off great. "Ernie", my version of "Crap Weasel", isn't too enthused about it, but he'll adjust.:burp::burp::tiphat:

I think this is first time you've posted a picture of your self!
Where's the welding helmet?:confused2:

Congrats on the pup - he's a cutie!

does your border collie mix chew the collars off other dogs? Just curious I have a border colllie/lab mix and it chews the collar off my other dog. Espically irritating since I have an electric fence and each collar costs about 20 bucks with the little box. Cute pup, my pup is about 9 months old and now a 50-60 lb pup.

Spray the collars with Bitter Apple to stop chewing. You can get it at most independent pet shops & pet supply stores, but not at the Petco or Petsmart type stores. Support your local independent pet retailer.

HUh? Very good idea thank you. I never stopped to think about a way to stop him, I was thinking he would grow out of it. thanks.

After losing the arm of the LazyBoy once, we tried the Bitter Apple. After losing the arm off the LazyBoy twice.......cage time while we were gone. :pat:

John, I wish you would of let me of known. I still have these two up for adoption:D

Joe, I like that one on the right. I think we'll hold off right now though. Yea, like ya said, if only we had known. Gotta let Oz grow into us before another one comes along. Dagnabit!!:burp::burp::tiphat:

PB, didn't want to scare the pup ya know. When the photos were taken, he'd only been home about an hour!! Hasn't had the pleasure of getting to know me yet!!:yum::burp::burp::tiphat:

This one not yet. And Spike my adult Border doesn't either. But, my version of the "crapweasel", Ernie, likes to grab a hold of Spikes collar. Spike just drags him across the room!!:yum::burp::tiphat:

Hey, nothing wrong with cats. Jan and I are at 18 now. If only the lowbrows around here would get them spayed/nuetered, it would help the overall population immensly.
We run sort of a rescue mission for the four legged variety, much smarter than for the two legged ones.
We took Oz to the vet yesterday to have him checked out. No problems. While we were leaving, one of the vets drove up and said she wanted to talk to us. Turns out one of the customers has a 2 1/2 year old male Springer Spaniel that needs a foster home. She can't keep the dog due to a divorce and I guess she's moving to an apartment or trailer park or something. The big problem is her son. He's 12 and is a Downs syndrom kid. Looks like we may be getting another one. The kid needs to see his dog, and we have no problem with that. I'm just glad I'm not in his mothers shoes.:burp::burp::burp::tiphat:

Does that imply that you are currently a cat person :puke1:

What's wrong with cats? We have two cats and three dogs, all get along and play together. The new kitten thinks he's a puppy, greets you at the door, all excited when you come home, bouncing off the walls. :thumb:

A lady once told me that guys that don't like cats have anotomical insecurities. :confused2: :hide: :yankchain:

More so than you would think.

Ferral (sp?) cat populations can be interesting.

Nice thing fostering two kittens up in our bedroom, particularly since Balto didn't like cats is that we don't have the dogs sleeping with us anymore:D and I think I can actually keep it that way when we find those kittens some homes.

Sounds like we have allot in common, and not just animals.

If you ever get up to N.C in your new endevor (trucking), you'll need to stop by.

Allergies. But beyond that not much. They seem to be quite tasty when roasted & spiced properly.:hide:

You know, I might have actually unintentionally ingested some when I was in Korea in '84...:puke1: The menu said "whopper with cheese", but it wasn't a Burger King. It was either dog or cat, and I was not drunk enough at the time to finish it.

Another dog to the mix! Damn you guys are busy!

I do like cats though.. they do their own thing and wont take attitude just give a ton of it...

Thanks for the invite Joe, I'll make it a point!!

The owners of the Springer dropped him off about 2 hours ago. Very nice people, and what a good looking dog. They'd taken very good care of him. He's walking around whimpering and whining right now, but I hope he'll be alright. Really didn't need another this soon, but what ya supposed to do? I'll try and take a photo or two in the morning.:burp::burp::tiphat:

Myst, I think I know why some people don't like cats, the cats are usually smarter.:hide: They're definetley smarter than me, but I still think they're pretty cool critters. Can I send you a few?:pat::burp::burp::tiphat:

Exactly why I don't like cats. They have too much attitude. I like to think I'm king of my castle (that is, when Mrs. Zoom lets me...)
