engine parts for Bombadier SW-48FA

The snow cat has a Ford 300 cu inch inline 6. Where is the best place to get engine parts. Right now it needs new spark plug wires. NAPA cannot look it up.

NAPA can't look it up??? Find a NEW NAPA store. 300 cu was a very popular engine. I have had 2 F series fords with 300's in them and no problem getting parts. About the only differences is the change from points to electronic on the distributor. so if it is points look at a 68 f250 for parts. if electronic try a 76 f250.

Pretty lame for the parts guys to fail this test.

What about non engine parts, things originally manufactured by Bombadier. Are there sources for those kind of parts?

Refere to this engine as a 4.9 liter, and you may get better results I think. Seems the parts guys these days may not be familiar with the old 300. They grew up with the metric designation...

Any body have a running motor or parts.

as I remember right the 1.6 was an alternate engine for the escort the industrial engine did have a different crank I believe it was forged.
