elk laying horns back while running

I consider myself a country boy these days, if truthful, I'd say a country old man, but I never knew that. There is a shortage of elk around East Texas. :biggrin:

Nice video.....

There is only one area in the northern lower pennisula of Michigan where you can hunt elk and it is done by lottery. They only issue, I think, about 90 permits and it is the luck of the draw to see if you get to hunt them. I used to enter every year and never got a permit, but some have gotten two or three in their lifetime.
 
You are lucky to have so many animals. 7-8 years ago we had lots of deer, turkeys, hogs, etc but lately we are hard pressed to even find a squirrel. Don't know what happened but we could starve if we were depending on hunting around here. Great video's!
