Just received this in my email from Circuit City. This is about what I paid for a 42 inch Westinghouse a couple of years ago.

That's absolutely amazing.

My TV buying experience goes back even further. About 10 years ago my big screen back projection TV gave out and I went shopping. Large screen LCD's were selling in the $12,000 to $15,000 range and plasmas were in the $15,000 to $20,000 range. LED's didn't exist. Needless to say I got another back projection for just over $4,000. That monster is still working beautifully but it is B-I-G. One thing though, no thief is going to break in and steal that sucker. I can hardly wait for it to die an honorable death because I'd jump all over that deal.

I didn't realize just how much prices had dropped until I got a smaller set for my wife to watch in her hideout/work room/library. That was just over $300. My, how times have changed.
