Hi this auction is for my Dad's Snow Trac. If you have any questions please call him direct on 07766851198 for detail and viewing. The Snow Trac is in Aboyne Aberdeenshire and will have to be picked up from there. It starts and runs well. I has not been in regular use for a while but is the ultimate fun. Below are some details on the Trac:
Snow Trac soft top;-
1] made by AB Active Fischer ST4[Sweden]
2] volkswagen 1500cc engine
3] chassis No 2112
4] code No 1254-5079
5] Vehicle No 56RN56 (Believed to have been used in the Falklands by the Navy)
military spec 24 volt with 314 hours running time recorded all running gear,
engine, g/box,, steering etc operational ready for work or restore to
pristine

Interesting, my daughter sent me that link last night too! Trying to avoid looking at ebay at present!!! If it did serve in the Falklands, then it was pretty lucky to have survived (one of about four that did) as most of them went down on the Atlantic Conveyor (I think it was called).
