Dog's bad breath

Any one have any ideas, Belle Tina's dachshund has really bad breath.
John said it is from her butt being so close to her mouth, and as an example he said Mona's breath is not quite as bad. Her butt is further away from her face, but not alot. Forrest has the best breath, cause his butt is really far from his face. Shelby and Sandy also have a good bit of distance from butt to face, so their breath isn't so bad.

Are you sure you're sniffing the right end?

I had a Ridgeback with the worst breath ever. Turns out she was a sh!t snacker. That's a real tough habit to break it seems.

You may be on to something ,as Sandie had a bit of the same problem . It seems to have cleared up with giving Her soup bones to chew on .

You guys don't brush your dog's teeth?
Gretchen has her own child's Snoopy toothbrush,and I use Petrodex poultry flavoured toothpaste.

She also munches on rawhides and eats an all natural cooked diet (organic ground turkey, rice, sweet potatoes, yogurt.. I crush a few vitamins in there too and add kelp and garlic).
The Mommy cooking varies.Sometimes I use ground beef or chicken, and use barley instead of rice.

Her breath is puppy fresh, and her kisses are sweet at 6 years old.

i use garlic tablets and doggy breath spray for my dog or i give her pepermints!

Buddy gets his teeth brushed too. But his mouth is quite a ways from his butt, so who knows which one contributes more

He gets a few baby carrots at bedtime and some small Milk Bones. Maybe those help keep his teeth clean. If their teeth are dirty, they'll most likely have bad breath too.
