Sometimes I wonder . . . When I am perusing here, I see posts by some people that had been here awhile. Not one or two posts wonders, but some that had made 100 posts or many more posts.
Then I see that the last post they made was 2013 (or something), that's it.
No more posts.

What happened to them did they give up? Did they die? :unsure:
Who knows?
Anyway I think its kind of sad . . . :sad:
 
In general, I have lost commonality with many on this forum. My politics are MUCH more centralized and just SEEING political thread post titles annoys me. So I check in occasionally, but rarely post.

Kinda the same thing going on with me Jeremy.

I do check out the forum often and choose the better parts to partake in.
 
I often wonder how Durwood is doing and some others.

Scratch that, I think he passed on in March if the obit I found is him.
 
I think people start to lose interest when things are going badly for their party, and they walk away. I know since the election I have not been happy with the republicans at all. They made many promises, but have done little to keep those promises. Also, during the obama reign they did little to stop him. They whined and moaned about him, and said they would stop his crap, but did nothing. Now, they fight Trump every step of the way and have done nothing to support him.

Let's be clear, I hate democrats, liberals, progressives, socialists and the anti-Trmpsters, but right now I hate republicans more because I have supported them for so long only to get stabbed in the back. And that is why I have lost interest in what is going on and do not post as much as I once did.

That's another point... Cowboy and Al and others passing.... I check in so INfrequently, when I do I am thinking "who's next..." Cowboy sucked for me because he didn't live far away and we never got the chance to meet. I think Bob and Erik are the only two members I have met IRL that are not banned from here.

I met Muleman and Bobcat.
 
I still have almost daily contact with Cityboy and Citygirl via Facebook though I have not seen them in several years. I tried this spring when I was down there for a cheer comp for my daughter, but we just missed each other. You thought he was vocal about his opinions here... He's ruthless on social media lol
 
I think politics has a lot to do with it. Not just here.
I have never seen such hate unleashed as I have seen since the election.
It's not all one party / ideology either.

I read that the Internet has become a lynch mob and it truly seems that way. Do most anything and someone is organizing an effort to have you fired. Some deserve to be fired, some do not. I am sure that others would differ with my personal choices.

Some days, I just want to pull the covers over my head and make the world go away.

I've taken to petting my dog, watching the sun, when it's out and researching topics I find interesting on the Internet. That is, after all, why it came into being in the first place.

I saw Big Dog late last year. I've seen him more than any other member. When Vin came across the US in 08 I met Vin, Sushi, Bobcat, Sno Ops, Ohio TC and Big Dog. ..And I'm afraid I'm forgetting others that were there.
I also met TomLescoEQ a few times. And the fellow from New England that was on a bike trip. He stopped and saw Dawg ...but I cannot htink of his name. And there might be more ....

Last time I talked to Letecia, I still had my old yahoo address.
I'll send you my new mail addy and you can give it to her.
We had rousing talks all the time that way.
She's a smart cookie and we have nursing in common, plus many more things.
She is missed on here.

He had a lot of health problems, Doc.
Last time I talked to him he was nearly blind in his assisted living apartment, and had trouble answering the phone.
We had planned to meet in Lima back in the day at the buffet barn restaurant, but it never happened.

I miss wanderer and many who used to post here, long time ago.
She was a good woman and lots of fun to get to know.
