DMC 1450 coolant overflow?

I have a DMC 1450. It has the Stock Ford 200 I6. Does anyone use a coolant overflow reservoir? Apparently, it was not part of the factory setup. Can anyone show me how/where they mounted a reservoir? I just don’t want it draining out of the radiator all over everything. Any advice is welcome.

I’m confused how one can “overfill” a radiator. Don’t you just fill it to the top so all the fins are covered inside? Since all newer vehicles have reservoirs, I just thought it was a good idea.

Its a great idea.
In modern underimplemented over engineered aluminum engines and processes, these situations work the crap out of the coolant. (Expands and contracts a lot) you have a snow cat.
Giant shroud.
Giant fan.

A little headspace in the radiator and your golden.

Wait your not one of those electric fan believers are you.

Bummer. Thats why you are pushing coolant out.

I would wander around a junk yard looking for something tall and skinny. Then put it up under the dash

My Imp radiator doesn't have the nipple to attach an overflow hose to. If overfilled it will just puke out past the spring loaded cap seal until equilibrium is reached...usually an inch or so below the filler neck. I looked not too long ago wanting to install an overflow tank. Not happenin'.
In theory a person should not need an overflow tank. Once at the proper level, the only time you'll loose coolant is if overheating, so then it's good to capture it to be later returned when things cool down and vacuum pulls it back to the radiator. A nice closed loop zero maintenance system. My guess - if I were a conspiracy theorist - overflow tanks are more about satisfying EPA rulings regarding polluting the environment with antifreeze...or killing your dogs and cats when they slurp up the puddle under your car.
