Did the young kid in I did!!!

Monday morning I and an employee about 25 years old headed out to visit 10 customer stores. First stop was 5.5 hours away. Plan was to stay over night half way through and finish up tuesday. Well this kid had a plan to get them all done in one day/night without staying at a hotel.. About ten in the evening we were at our 7th store just moving along with about a half hour driving between each store. Each job took us about 1.5 hours average. Again at ten he was on the phone with his girlfreind telling her how he was going to work the living day lights out of the old man. (thats me 49) His plan was to finish the last two stores and be home early tuesday morning. I just chuckled. Between #9 and #10 there was a 2 hour drive. Now I drove all day and the minute we hit the road headed for #10 he falls a sleep and sleeps for 1.5 hours. We did number 10 and then I continued to drive home which was another 2 hours.

So the last two hours I just razed the dickens out him about how he thought he was going to outwork the old man.

I still got it in me, dang I am tired tonight though, I slept from 6:30 when I got home to about 8:30 and then went into work. Oh yeah the kid, didn't come in at all.

My sons have yet to be able to keep up with the old man when we have a work day around the house............Doesn't mean I ain't sore the next day though.......

I should proof read my posts.........but then I would have to learn to read first. of course I meant are you going to pay him to sleep while the boss drives around to the sites..........must be nice.

Guys,

Are far as sleeping, for this project we share the drive time. So in essence he gets paid to sleep half of the time. I get paid the other half.

Now my wife told me I best keep quiet because if this was an all night drinking party or just a good ole fashioned party the kid probably would have put me under Which I am sure he would have!

You do have to keep the digs on the kid in jest. If misinterpreted, next time he'll make a 3 day trip out of it in spite.
