Did I tell you my sister died in May?

DaveNay

Klaatu barada nikto
From a pulmonary embolism.

They revived her twice. Six days on a ventilator in ICU.

She has since made a full recovery. Modern medicine is amazing.

WOW,

Good god man your family is fortunate. Count your blessings and take time to smell the flowers you see. You must be relieved...

Regards, Kirk

In the span of four weeks 3/4 of my nuclear family were in the hospital (sister embolism, mom heart arrhythmia, dad stroke.)

No wonder your sitting by the fire drinking bourbon....Good for you man!

I hope all is well..

Regards, Kirk

Dave, sorry to hear of your families problems.

I hope everyone is recovering.

When you run out of bourbon I hear Dr Rum is pretty good. :whistling:

damn a tough four weeks for sure. congrats on your sisters amazing recovery. How bout passing that bottle I could use a little shot. getting on a plane in a couple of hours and a shot or two might be just what I need.

WOW, and thankfully your sister came through it OK.

I'm with you on the wonders of modern medicine. Its amazing what our American doctors can do today that was not able to be done even 10 years ago. What they could to 10 years ago was amazing compared to 20 years ago.

Not sure if you caught the posts about Dargo's daughter or my daughter. Both had a rough time over the past year. Brent's had the worst of it but came out great (and hopefully is done?). My daughter is now 3" taller after her marathon surgery that occurred late this spring and is still recovering but doing just fine on very limited activity and physical restrictions. Both girls are in college and doing well.

Hope your dad is recovering from the stroke, there have been a lot of advances with stroke recovery and therapy and hope your mom's heart issues are under control.

Whoa! That was indeed a heck of a four weeks. I'm glad to hear your sister is doing well, and hope the rest of the family is
recovering as well! :flowers:

You have my sincerest sympathies. How are you holding up DaveNay? I know that I just joined here and I don't know from a hole in the wall, but if you ever need to talk to someone when you're feeling down. I'm here.

God Bless
KD
