Dem. Gov. Hochul pardon Trump

NO

If he is pardoned then he doesn't get to appeal.

If he doesn't get to appeal then he will forever be a convicted felon.

If he appeals then the case can be over-turned and he can be vindicated.

This is a bad idea.

Well, I saw the number and already called before I saw Bob's post.
I didn't threaten but respectfully requested she pardon Trump. We all know she will ignore my call and all others but what's done is done.
Overturn on Appeal is not a guarantee in this day and age with the haters that are in power.
The whole thing is such a farce. So many are saying this will get him elected by a landslide. I hope so but so much can happen between now and then. Biden appears to be pushing Putin and wanting WW III. I suppose he is thinking that will help him stay in office during a crisis.

Nothing in the US Constitution prevents a convicted felon from being elected President of the USA. However, once elected and inaugurated, can Trump pardon himself?

Probably.

Not sure.

He was charged with STATE crimes. Not FEDERAL crimes. He can definitely pardon federal offenses but I don't know if he has the jurisdiction to wave state offenses, I believe that would be the governor who has that capacity.

No. The president can't pardon someone for state level convictions. It doesn't matter, though. Trump's conviction and upcoming sentencing only serves to increase his assurance of re-election. The icing on the cake, however, will be when, after being elected, he wins the appeal as well.
