My wife is installing some paneling in the bedroom. I was watching her and I noticed she has a very large crack to fill. Where can I get enough caulk to do the job?

I went to the hardware store and found lots of caulk. It comes in all different colors and sizes. Would you suggest lots of black caulk?

I’m not real handy with tools but the man here is telling me it’s not the amount of caulk I have but more how I use it. Just to be on the safe side I'm going to buy one of these 8" caulk guns.

I called from the store and said “Hey, I’ve got the caulk you want and I’m on my way”. She said “Who is this?”

Store was short on help and I couldn’t locate what I needed. Finally I asked some people if they knew where I could find some caulk. Got all kinds of attention after that…

Yep, and be careful. Don't let her look behind you or she might find a bigger crack to fill. Not a pretty picture at all.

So here is what I've learned. Not all caulk is the same consistency and some are harder to work with than others. As a general rule,the harder the caulk the better the results. Sometimes it's necessary to use your fingers to work the caulk into the crack adaquetely. Be sure to take your time, do a good job, and everyone will be happy with the results!
