Dear Abbey
I started talking to a guy online. Exchanged phone numbers and have been texting and then talking alot on the phone. We realized we have many friends in common. We talked about meeting and then he was busy with work and his mother just died so is very busy with her finances and grieving etc. He mentioned hmm I dont actually know if it was a good idea for me to be online dating while grieving but I really like you. We then planned a date which was his idea and very last minute he canceled. He said we can reschedule for several days later. I havent heard from him. I really like him but know it is probably not a good idea for him to date. What kind of message can I send to him to let him know that I am sorry for his loss and hope we can reschedule soon but understand he is going through a lot. I also dont want to be led on if he isnt ready and dont want to be canceled on again.
