-cracks in solid tire replace??

i have a few cracks in a pistenbully solid tire. this wheel is the extra heavy one that is needed on the front for tensioning. do you think it will fail? i put 300hrs on the cat last season and would like to do the same. it was like that last season but i'm not sure how bad.
the cracks are not all the way around or not visible on the part that isn't under load. . could it be from the pressure of the track while setting during off season?
new pb wheel is over $800

Mine are like that too Jim and I have put thousands of hours on them. I talked to the dealer about it and it sounds normal but I still keep a close eye on it. If the front wheel fails it kind of ruins your day.

I made a recovery run when the front rubber broke on a pb200. the complete track rolled off and slid down the slope. we winched the track up and backed the pb on it.
like you said,i'll be keeping an eye on it and a spare nearby.
thanks,jim

I have some crappy wheels in the center section on Brutus the front wheels are perma groomer wheels they are worth the money as for yours I would swap that one out to the center and get a few more years of service out of it

the center wheel is half the weight and thickness of the adjuster end wheel.

Our local rocky mountain power cat starts that way within a few months tire is completely shredded. Replace it before the snow flies.

I just removed one so i'll have matching pb wheels. i'm not sure what i'll do with it. right now it is the spare.
