Cows are gone

muleman

Gone But Not Forgotten
Just loaded them up and sent to the butcher shop. Tomorrow will winterize the barn and move a few implements back under the barnyard roof for the winter. Not time yet to put the tractors and backhoe in the barn.

Mine go to the killhouse on 2 nov. Pick up will be mid Nov. Steaks for Thanksgiving!!!!!
Are they aging them before packaging? When I was in the service in New Mexico, we used to get hind quarters aged for 2 weeks before packaging, and we've never had meat like that since. Fantastic!

They always age them at least 10 days. They won't go longer than that right now cause deer processing is picking up. They quit taking beef and hogs after Nov.1 till Jan. 20 to concentrate on deer packing.

muley, looks like you are all ready for winter, wood shed full, freezer full, toys put away. did lots of canning. let it snow
