Cords and Cables

thcri

Gone But Not Forgotten
I just bought this neat little device made by Energizer called a Energi To Go. What it does basically is add up to 8 hours of life for my Blackberry. I use my Blackberry for tracking my progress while I ride my bike and to listen to music. If I don't listen to music I get about 3 hours out of my phone, if I listen to music I only get 2 hours. My longer trips are taking longer so if I am doing a longer trip I don't listen to music to get the three hours. I need more time and changing batteries half way through my trip is not an option so I bought this little device and from what I see will do the job for me.

However my problem is the cord from the unit to the Blackberry is only 6" long. I would like a longer one. I need a Micro B to a Micro B and would like at least 12 to 18". Anyone got any suggestions on where to buy. I have looked all over and cannot find any.

thcri, is there a good computer repair store close to you? They can probably build you one. Not sure exactly what kind of wattage we are talking, but should be possible to get a low resistance cable that short.

Murph, it is possible that the cable is that short for a reason. It could have to do with loss over distance.

Let me see what I can find for you cables are kind of a thing of mine.

red has a good idea there. Cables to go makes custom cables. If you are only worried about power and not data transmission, length might not be an issue. Look here

On this page is a USB to Micro B. I need both ends to be Micro B.

I could buy this extension. Pricey little thing but would do the trick. I found another page that had one that was 12" for the same price. Now I can't find that page.
