A elderly couple Lucy & John were recently attending church services.
About halfway through the service, Lucy took a pen and paper out of her
purse, and wrote a note and handed it to John .
The note said: "I just let out a silent fart, what do you think I should
do?" John scribbled back, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."!
 
I must say that i did that in Church too. I am mostly deaf. Of course everyone looked!!!!
The worst was that the next week the pastor told a story where he was the one who farted. Then he asked the congregation if they thought it was ok to say "fart" in church! EVERYONE roared.
 
When my son Ty was 3 or 4, he let one go during the Easter Vigil services- right before Father got up for the homily when everything is quiet.
We were sitting like 3 pews back from the front.
Some folks in front of us were laughing so hard their shoulders were shaking.
I was hoping a hole would open in the floor for me to fall through.

Don't know what I fed that kid prior to make such a raucous sound emit from his butt.
Through the years, I've often teased him about it.

Just glad he never did it years on when he served as an altar boy lol
