I'm scheduled for cataract surgery in the morning. It is an outpatient procedure. I'm told it only takes the doctor 10 minutes to do the actual removal and slipping in the new lens through the small incision.
I might be slow to answer PM's or what not tomorrow, but I'll be looking on when the sedative wears off as long as I feel okay.
Wish me luck!

Good Luck Doc. Most people have no trouble at all. Your wife look even prettier tomorrow evening..........

Good luck Doc!

I don't know much about this - but guys, be kind to Doc and don't post any eye-bulging pictures where Doc will find them, for a few days! :boobies:

About 8 years ago I had one of my eyes done. Glad I did it. I may now have to go have the other eye done soon.

Hope it goes as well as it did for me.

Don't worry about a thing, we will take care of the place for you while you are gone. :brows:

Good luck, Doc. Enjoy the anesthesia! I just had a wisdom tooth pulled a few weeks ago after recovering from a cold. When I woke up, it was the best I felt in over a week!

I was kind of wondering who was going to keep FF going, but when you think about it who cares, we will all be at Doc's place partying.

good Luck Doc. We promise to behave, right guys and gals??????? Okay we promise to TRY and behave.
well, at least she didn't say HOW we were going to behave!
I got dibs on "badly"!

Seriously doc - my dad had bilateral cataract surgery last year and when it was over he cussed himself for putting up with the foggy vision as long as he had. He finally broke down and did it when his eyes got so bad he couldn't see the computer screen to play video games any more!
he told me his eyes felt "scratchy" for a day or so, then everything was fine!

good luck!

Doc, your biggest pain is going to be reading all these good luck and get well posts. But since you can, I will assume that all went well... So heal fast!:thumb:

Greg, this procedure is a piece of cake these days (as I'm sure you've been told)
You'll be right back in the swing of things.
Promise!
:D
That doesn't mean we won't throw a wild party here until you can actually see what's been going on.
:w00t: :whistling: :1062: :dancing:

Course, it'll have nothing to do with me...:good:

Thanks everyone!!!!!!
I'll be heading out to 'get er done' in an hour or so. Don't get to wild and crazy here! :D

Good luck Doc, I would make some jokes about how we are going to redecorate the place while you are out but you went posted this in the "Seriously Speaking" Forum.

;)

Dang it, PB, I hadn't noticed what forum this was in. I guess we gotta be some-what good. :poke:

Doc, hope all goes as planed. I'll be thinkin about ya, let us know when ya can.

Thanks again all.
I think the sedative has worn off. Quite a procedure. I don't hurt but all is blury. My eye is still dilated so I have a hard time going outside, reading or watching anything in particular.
I see the doctor tomorrow morning for his evaluation of the surgery.

How are you feeling this morning? let us know what the Doctor says.

Jim

Don't feel bad but the eye matted up and is still dialated. I see the doctor in a couple of hours. I'll post the outcome this afternoon.

Hmmm... Me thinks the doctor told him to get a dose of PG and AW pics since he has not been back to update us, but he HAS been in the "what others look like" thread. :poke:

Hey, Doc, glad your back. I understand that once you get it done you realise how bad it used to be to see. We were good while you were away.. :rolf2:

I never got to page two of the new posts, so I wasn't reminded of this thread until now. :hide:
All the news from the doctor was good. My vision is now 20/30 where is was 20/80 and not correctable with glasses. He said all looked great and in 30 days my vision could even improve to 20/20. So it 'might' even get better.
So, everything is good.
Thanks for all the well wishes!!!!!!
PT, you are right, I do see things clearer/sharper now. Very cool. :D

:yum: Cake? Hey they didn't give me any cake. What's the deal? :yum:

Your right PG. They really have the procedure down pat. Very impressive overall.

I missed the whole proceedure! Im sorry Doc. I was out getting stuff done and staying up late. I havent logged on for the last two days. I think thats a record. Anyhow, Im VERRRRRRRY happy to hear that things are going well!!!!!   I hope and pray that you get even BETTER eye sight! :bb:
