BV206's for humanity

Hey guys!

Greetings from Albania (eastern europe). In searching for unimogs I ran across for the first time a Hagglunds BV206 at www.coldwarremarketing.com and realized that the BV206 could possibly be one of the best "hybrid" snowcats ever made.
I am from Oregon but work with a small humanitarian organization here in Albania. We deliver aid to poor families throughout the southeastern region of Albania. When winter hits, we have many mtn villages that get isolated for almost 4-5 months due to the extremely poor road conditions....no 4x4 can make it, only mules.
To be honest right now we are just dreaming, but hope that one day we could obtain a BV206 to help take much needed food, clothing an other items to the residents of these isolated villages located all throughout Albania.

Anyway, if you know of any good deals or some philanthropist that would like to help out, shoot me an email!

Thanks for the great pics and great forum!

Cheers!

Sean, you may want to take a look for some BV202 units. They are an older version of the BV206 and you can find them surplus in the Scandinavian countries at modest prices (at least modest compared to the BV206).

Good luck with your work, and your search for a snowcat.

Here in Norway you can get a surplus Bv202NF1 for around $8100.- That would be low milage very good condition. Parts are very easy to get hold of. The Bv206 in both diesel and petrol versions are about $25000.- for the petrol and up to $65000.- for a good diesel. Check out www.beltevogn.no It's in Norwegian but with the photos it should'nt be to difficoult to understand. 6,1 Norwegian krone is $1.00 these days.
