Damn, this has been a rough year. Now it seems the toughest challenge of all has slammed into my family. My brother George had headaches and finally they got real bad so he had them checked out. Brain cancer. Two large tumors and a couple small ones. Horrible prognosis, they've guessed he has 6 months to 3 years if treatments work optimally.

We are all devastated. Surgery to remove the two large tumors is this Tuesday. George is only 58 and has always been there to help anyone who needed it, anytime anywhere. Such a good hearted guy, always had a smile for everyone. He's still cracking little jokes even in the face of this ordeal.
Sure would appreciate lots of prayers and good thoughts.

That's terrible Greg. :(

Prayers and best wishes for a successful surgery, a better than expected prognosis and you're entire family.

Is this a different brother with cancer now? Uggh, cancer is the worst.

Best wishes for recovery. If he can do it, have him go to M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX. They have the best experience and tools to fight cancer.

In times such as this it's hard to just express that your sorry, so I usually leave posts like this alone. Anyway I ran into an alternative cancer treatment just the other day. It doesn't appear that it could create any issues, it's cheap to try, and it appears to have some science behind it. So if your Brother is open to alternatives he may like to give it a try.

Trojan Horse to kill cancer

Best wishes Doc. A lot depends upon what kind of cancer it is. My daughter was delared terminal but 30 years later she is still with us.

It seems cancer can strike anyone without warning. And always takes us by surprise.

Best wishes to your family and prayers for your brother.

Well I hope that all goes well and this is just a small bump in the road for your brother and he gets a full recovery!

Wishing your brother the best of outcomes Doc. So sorry and sad to hear this news. prayers sent for a great out come.

Best regards, Kirk

Thanks All. His wife and kids are banned together and holding up well so far. We all have each other to lean on.

Prayers from here Doc. His outlook may seem dire but progress is made every day in treatments. Stay strong buddy.:flowers:

That's exactly it Doc. When my daughter was diagnosed with a very rare brain cancer there was nothing that they could do except radiation. It was considered inoperatable. Then they started to operate two years before along with the radiation. So far as we know she is the first survivor of this cancer. Now instead of 100% fatality 40% survive. Still grim but better than before.

Sorry to read this! Cancer is everywhere. My brother had GREAT success with Cancer Treatment Centers of America! They were able to do some amazing things for and with him. He's still with us today, thanks to God and them. I will keep your brother in my prayers.

God bless,
Tony

He's in my prayers.

I had a year like you're having a couple of years ago. It's easy to get ground down but now is the time for everybody to be strong. He'll need all the help and support that you can give him.

You are in my thoughts Doc and hope it works out. I can relate to cancer through not brain and it does matter the type. Also keep in mind those type that where a death sentence just a few years ago are now very curable.

I finally finish all my treatments tomorrow and have to wait 6 months to get the final results of it. Now I need to put back on the 50 lost pounds I've lost in 30 days.

A sincere Thank you to all of you. You made a difference. George had surgery on the tumors on his brain today and came through with flying colors. they expected him to be on a ventilator for a day or two, but he's already off that. And he's talking and joking around. Able to move all body parts, so everything is working as before which after brain surgery things can change. He really came through with flying colors. They got all of one of the tumors and most of the 2nd one. We all realize this is just the first hurdle in his battle. We are just glad he has started off to such a good start. Gives us all hope. Thanks to all for the prayers. :thankyou2: :tiphat:
