Broken Skidozer axle (AKA Bogie where art thou?)

Hey there,

After welding the crap out of this axle and reinstalling it I drove about 100' and snap! Off comes the wheel!:toilet:

What I'm looking for are parts for a 1979 Skidozer 302HD. I need two parts, I think:

(a) The axle and block with the spline
(b) The round metal disc on the wheel which is closest to the axle block

Anybody know where I can find these parts? I need to get this machine running again badly. Right now I'm down. I'm hoping Boggie has these parts. I have the 1-866-776-3636 Camoplast parts department number, but I want to find them on the used market first if possible.

Thanks to all. . .

Whoa! Didn't take long to get some spare parts from Brad! 45 minutes after I posted photos Brad had pulled some guts from the boneyard and was getting them packed in a box. Thanks Boggie. . .

Anybody know the best way to pull the block off the spline? Gear puller?

Ken ,make sure you remove the bolt completely and not just loosen it there is a groove in the splined shaft that the bolt goes through to keep it from falling off.then the easiest way is to take a chisel and tap it into the slot in the arm not to far to damage splines and you should be able to just pull it off or give it a gentle tap from the back.:thumb:

Along with doing what Bard recomended, could you possibly try heating it a bit with a smaller torch as well as spraying it with some type of penetrating oil to help it come off easier? A little bit of heat shouldn't take any strength out of the metal.
