Brakes needed for ST4 Sno-trac

Hi everyone!
I have just taken purchase of a '78 sno-trac that is missing both its entire brake assemblies that attach to inside sprokets. I only have two loose brake drums for it. So, I need a pair of complete sno-trac brake assemblies (including hand brake bands). Anyone have any?

Christer Morlind has some parts but not complete sets. Lyndon Strother suggested I get an automotive machinist to weld (bolt)on some disc brake assemblies that are more readily available, made with Ford or Chevy parts/calipers. Have any of you done this?

Your input would be much appreciated.

Thank You,

Thank you very much for the disc brake Sno-trac picture. I can begin putting such a brake system together very soon. What make of brakes ought I be looking for? Is there anything special I ought to be especially paying attention both in parts and connection to the paired gears? What about a connection for an emergency brake?

some calipers have a emergency brake set up on them as well... kill 2 birds with one stone

IIRC...older caddy eldorado's and some old's have it

Being a land cruiser guy we use monte carlo calipers on
conversions but no emergency brake setup on those

fwiw.
