BR 180 RPM'S AT FULL TOO HIGH ?

have 07 br180 with perkins diesel runs at or near 3000 rpm dial turned all way question is ? is there a way to tone this down to 2500? or is it computer controlled ?
 
If yours is an "MP" (steering wheel or FNR levers), yes it is puter
controlled. You should ajust rpm potentiometer to 2400 no load and
the puter will hold it there under normal load.
