Its beat to crap and already has a bid of over $4,000.00. It will take thousands to make it go in the snow...Forget the blade as that is what probably destroyed the cat...:4_11_9:

I am way to cheap on my great shape BR100+ that runs....and runs.... Looks great and actually goes in the snow...:thumb:

MTNTOPPER you should keep your BR100! That is the nicest one Ive ever seen and they dont get any better than that! Do you just need more room? Oh well youll regret selling her.

It sold for $9552
looks like some people are willing pay anything to win a auction,

OMG, that is crazy for that broken down wreck. :4_11_9:

I wonder if Boggie bought it and is going to recondition it....:yum:

Then again BobP and BigAl need a real snow cat to tow their Kristi's back to the trailer.....:thumb:
SnoOps has his hands full with the Snotrac in the circus tent...:shitHitFan:

Mbsieg is rebuilding the carb on the "little red thingy". :poke:

Grommerguy is not going to make his wife mad by buying a snow cat as he is still honeymooning and she is in control.:snow2_smi:

I have been elk hunting. Now who did the dumb thing and bought that broken down piece of crap?

Must of been one of the tractor guys that sneaks down here and gives all of us snowcatters stinky advice from time to time.... :fart2:

Must have been BOBPIERCE! His new Snowcat Guru advised him that the Kristi ski action was Gimmacky and instilled a false sense of security. LMAO!

YOU have violated my NDA. My bottom-sucking two-faced attorney (is there any other kind?) will be contacting you.

I got an RTV 900 with tracks.

Does yours have a turbo? Have you used it in the deep powder snow yet? I thought about one and then did some research. It all came back negative for my application at 8500 foot elevation. Sounds like many of the 900's can not even spin the tires at this elevation without a turbo. The new 1100 is better but with the tracks, cab and heater it will cost more than a snow cat and still not have the ability of a real snow cat. I thought it might be fun to run around in but it turns out too costly.:4_11_9:

My nieghbor has the RTV with tracks. I believe his does have the Turbo but need to ask him. His has some power but its no power house thats for sure. He tried to use it to pull his sons truck out of some semi deep snow. He was fine until he decided to take a short cut from his house to where his truck was burried. A few hours later and at about 2 am he comes knocking. He was soaked and bone cold. I was pretty scared because he was in beggining stages of hypothermia. I didnt realize it till he start babbling on and wasnt making any sense. I called my nieghbor who is the head volunteer parametic and he came over and we got him warmed up and taken care of. I dont think he would have lasted any longer outside all wet like he was. Anyway the next morning we pulled his RTV out along with his sons truck an hour later. He followed me in my tracks and was ok until he ventured off. STUCK. LOL. Anyway he hooked up to his sons Toyota and attempted to pull it out. The Toy was aired down and both attempting wouldnt budge it. The RTV just burried itself trying. After that we hooked up my snowmaster and yanked her out like she wasnt there. He is now looking for a Snowcat. The RTV is fine for light snow but nothing deep or fresh. (RTV900 is the Kabota 2 passenger side by side ATV right?) Anyway I hope this wasnt a waste of time. He does love it though during spring and summer. Also those tracks are unbelievably expensive! He could of had a decent used snowcat for the cost of those!

None of them are turboed unless it is an after market item. They are not made for really deep snow. About 4 foot of powder is all they can handle. There are a few snowmobile clubs around here that use them as groomers. At 21 HP on the 900 and 24.8 on 1100 they are lacking a lot. Some people expect to much of them. They are said to be 90% work and 10% play. Mine very seldom is used for play. The tracks that I demo yesterday are 7k and are made by Soucy Track from Canada. So now I am quitely looking for a good used snow cat.

If you're going to continue pursuing the tracks, can you start a new thread to discuss it? What are the Soucy like? How do they compare to the Mattracks? What else did you notice?

New RTV 1100 $17,000.00
RTV Accessories $1,200.00
RTV Track System $7,000.00
Total $25,200.00

Mtntoppers BR100+ $15,000.00

YOU SAVE $10,200.00 By buying the BR100+ real snow cat

Look, you can be a hero and save the household budget $10,200.00. Now if that is not justification to own a snow cat I do not know what is? :thumb:

Groomerguy and BC you now have the math to make it happen. Just threaten to buy the RTV and then relinquish back to only the less costly BR100+. Also tell her you are getting the free front mount HD winch to pull her car out of the driveway ditch as needed. She will love you forever...:argueing: Worked for me....:yum:

Don't worry! I've done the math. When I get my own snowcat though, I want something that I would be able to take my whole family in. Never ran a BR100......is it the same size as a Bombi? They look similar in size. Ran a Bombi back in the early 90's.........found it small and cramped inside. I'm 6'3" and need a bit of extra room inside for my long legs.

For now though, my math works like this.....

Mtntopper's BR100+ $15,000
Getting it here minimum $3-4000
Expense of operating ????????

Use of 2002 Lamtrac and 1994 BR160...............free(I don't pay the bills on those) They pay me to run them!

Make sense???

looks like some people are willing pay anything to win a auction,

Wow.... was not me......... I thought 5000 was to much. rebuilt with the blade which is too big for that machine anyway. it should be worth 15-18K
Was it a plus or just a BR100? The difference being a 2.3 liter instead of a 1.6 and a C3 automatic instead of a manual 4 speed ( Pinto ) :thumb:
