Bombi heater core replacement

I am going to take the Bombi heaters out (I have two heaters in my bombi) and replace them with a IH Scout heater assembly. The scout heater shares a very similar foot print and blows way more air. My cab is a bit custom on the fresh air side..... If you want a picture of a Scout heater let me know.

i would love to see a pic i have a buddy with a br100+ that has the same problem just enough heat to keep you warm when dressed up to work out side and them little cabs are cramped

Hey guys ? Just take the old core to a Radiator shop and have them make you a new one . We use to charge about 35-50 bucks for this service . You can also get your hands on a Modine Radiator book at any Rad shop and it will have pictures and sizes of evey premade heater core they make .
A lot of Auto parts stores can have these books too . Saves a lot of time in a wrecking yard .

Here is what is going in My merbi. I am going to mount it behind me in the engine compartment although I think it will fit behind the head lights easy enough.

I use these in many builds around here. I have put them in early broncos, Toyota land cruisers, Boats... IH scouts are hiding behind every barn here in the upper midwest. Junk yards are full of them and the heater blower and heater core seem to be one of the only non drive train related items that survive the elements of time on a binder here in the salt belt.

The resistor pack on the top easily allow multiple speeds. the blower motor is easy to service. Flow valves allow easy metering for temperature control. 4" square output is easy to convert to round if that is your thing.
