Bombi Engine Compartment Vent's

I am in the process of restoring my 1976 Bombi, just got the paint all done with a nice heavy equipment paint. Some of the black plastic engine vents or louvers (whatever you want to call them) are broken and I don't want to put broken parts back onto a perfect paint job. Does anyone either know of where to find a direct replacement part or something else that would work and doesn't look horrible?

I am also looking for a source for the sliding windows that go in the doors if anyone knows of a good source for these let me know.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Boy, without pictures of that new paint job, it's gonna be REAL hard to figure out what those louvers look like or where to source them.... :-D

And you'll go crazy if you start looking at alibaba: http://www.alibaba.com/suppliers/plastic-vent-louver-supplier.html

Google is your friend.

I started looking for marine venting, to try to suck some wind into the cab of my T2. It gets warm if the escape hatch is closed, and cattin' around with the doors propped open is a pain.... I may be trying to duct some cold air into the blower and bypass the heat exchanger.

Have fun, welcome to the asylum.

On my 1980 Bombi I went to my local home depot and bought HVAC vents. They sell all sizes - paint them black and they look pretty good and the engine cools fine.
