Good evening to all our fine members, i was pushing some snow in my yard and all of a sudden i heard a loud snap sound and my machine would not go forward or reverse. When it is in gear and i let the clutch out there is a gringing noise but if you pull back on the leavers it wil move in a circle???? any help would be fantastic and what kind of cost and repairs would a guy be looking at, Thanks, regards, Curt.

Sounds like maybe one of the drive axles may have broke, is it a Bombi like your heading ? Or SW48

It pretty easy to check the axles in the center of the sprocket is a drive hub, take that off and the axle for that side will pull out, if that ones good check the other

The only other thing that sometimes happens it a steering band will break but that should let drive straight not I circles unless it bound up in the differential

We have the axles in stock and the steering bands
 
Hello Brad, I got the 6 nuts off the sprocket will it just slide out now or do you have to pry on it to get the shaft out to check to see if the drive axel is broke thanks, Curt.
 
Hello Boggie, were you able to check and see if you have a drive axle in stock, for my 1982 Bombi. Was just wondering if you were able to check your other warehouse, thanks, Curt.
