Carb issues can be found here, looks like I will go with a Carter BB1 that IS NOT the stupid impossible to find parts for industruial model (the bowl cover does not have the rib that the "regular" BB does)

First I had to find a way to get a left side engine cover as the free JW73 I got did not some with it....could not complain for the price though. Thought about buying one but where is the fun in that, so I put my new welding/fabbing table to good use.
If anyone wants a latch like I used, it is McMaster Carr part number 1344A24 They also have a chrome version if you like the "bling".
I used the right side as a template, then made the required cutouts for the exhuast pipe and intake. Oh yeah, it was 18 guage that I used also.

Fab in progress.....

Thats good that you made one because if you do not have it on it will overheat no air goes through the radiator otherwise being as it is on top .

Progress!! Got a "normal" B&B carb, rebuilt it, runs like a champ! Also found an air filter from NAPA that works. I threw out the box, but if anyone wants the part number I can get it.

Used 3 screw to secure it to the carb, then siliconed it.
